Question 22: Are the relatives of disabled, elderly, veterans and martyrs free of charge from urban transportation?
The procedures and principles for taking advantage of the right to free travel are provided by the Free or Discounted Travel Cards Regulation.
On July 12nd, 2013, the Law No. 6495 granted free access to relatives of martyrs, veterans, relatives of veterans, veterans, disabled individuals with 40% and above, and individuals with severe disabilities, from the city and intercity lines of railways and sea routes, companies established by municipalities, municipalities, corporations, unions, establishments and businesses, or private individuals or companies authorized by municipalities. Citizens over the age of 65 have been granted the right to benefit free of charge from the city public transportation services, which are mentioned above with the city lines of railways and sea routes, and 50% discount on the intercity lines of railways and sea routes
