Question 57: What is the obligation of businesses to employ people with disabilities under Labor Law No. 4857?

Employers are obliged to employ three percent disabled and four percent disabled and two percent former convict workers in public workplaces in jobs that are suitable for their professional, body and mental state. The number of workers the employer who has more than one workplace within the same province limits is calculated according to the total number of workers. Employers who are obliged but do not employ disabled workers pay an administrative fine of TL 2627 (for 2018) for each disabled person each month.
