Education From Malaysia National Occupational Health And Safety Institute (Niosh)


Turkey continues to be a bridge at OHS.

The Occupational Health and Safety Information Network (OIC-OSHNET) was established in order to raise awareness in the field of OHS in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and to strengthen the cooperation between the participating countries. and its secretariat are entrusted to our country and executed by İSGÜM on behalf of our country. Since 2010, our activities continues in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Statistical Economic Social Research and Education Center (SESRIC). Until now, we have carried out many activities in Turkey and abroad with different member countries.

Within the scope of OIC-OSHNET, expert Azhar Bin Ahmad and Muhammad Zaeem Bin Haji Mokhtar from Malaysia Institute of National Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH) gave training about OHS Management and Emergency Prevention Preparation and Response Plan and shared their knowledge and experiences for 4 days between 25-28 February 2018.

National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety Malaysia (NIOSH) Azhar Bin Ahmad and Muhammad Zaeem Bin Haji Mokhtar, SESRIC training expert Alia Sharify Ortaq attended to the certificate program at the end of 4-day training.

Prior to the certificate ceremony, İSGÜM President Erol TEKÇE thanked expert Azhar Bin Ahmad and Muhammad Zaeem Bin Haji Mokhtar from Malaysia Institute of National Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH) for giving training and stated that they were happy to welcome them in Turkey and stated that they care very much about our relationship and cooperation with the relevant institutions of Malaysia and especially with NIOSH and would like to take this cooperation further.

Prior to the certificate ceremony, Muhammad Zaeem Bin Haji Mokhtar stated that they were very glad to be in Turkey to give training to his colleagues in İSGÜM about OHS and the cooperation of İSGÜM and NIOSH is very important for Islamic countries and this cooperation should be increased.

Education expert Alia Sharify Ortaq on behalf of SESRIC conveyed the greetings of SESRIC Director Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya and said that they have carried out such capacity building trainings with the contribution and cooperation of related institutions in the field of OHS for 9 years, adding a new one to them today and they will continue to support such cooperation in the future.

After the closing speeches, the participants were given their certificates and the program was ended.
