Occupational Diseases Congress organized by Professional Disease Specialists (İMUD), in cooperation with Family, Labor and Social Services Ministry of Labor Health and Safety Directorate General was opened by the participation of Grand National Assembly of Turkey in October (Parliament) President Mr. Binali Yildirim, EBSO Chairman Ender YORGANCILAR, Izmir Governor Erol AYYILDIZ, Rector of Dokuz Eylul University. Dr. Nükhet HOTAR, Turkish Business Chairman Ergün ATALAY, CHP and AK Party Izmir Deputies, Association of Occupational Diseases Specialists President Arif Hikmet ÇIMRIN, General Director of Occupational Health and Safety. Orhan KOÇ was opened with the participation of business leaders and trade union representatives as well as many guests on October 4, 2018
Mr. Binali YILDIRIM, the Speaker of the Assembly, made the opening speech of the Congress; laid stress on the importance of occupational health safety.
In addition the Rector of Dokuz Eylül University Prof.Dr. Nukhet HOTAR, Turkish Business President Ergun ATALAY, Association of Occupational and Occupational Diseases Specialist Arif Hikmet ÇIMRIN, talked about the importance of occupational diseases and occupational health and safety and what to do and solutions.
After the inauguration of the Occupational Diseases Congress, "Workshop on Development of Diagnosis and Notification System for Occupational Diseases" was held with the participation of Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, Ministry of Health and Academicians. Speaking at the workshop, General Director of Occupational Health and Safety, Mr.Orhan KOÇ, stated that the definition, diagnosis, registration and notification of occupational diseases should be updated and the road map to be followed about the occupational diseases should be updated and that the health risks of the workers who cause occupational diseases should be updated. said that it was among the most important issues to follow the health levels of the employees and to prevent the advancement of the changes in the health levels of the employees in the early period.
In addition, "Occupational Health and Safety Cooperation Protocol" was signed between the Association of Occupational Health Specialists and the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services in order to establish new collaborations on occupational diseases.
